Happy Wednesday Abernethy
As we look ahead at the next 6 days of school, I wanted to share out some dates and times for any planning that families wanted to do.
Monday - June 12th - Field Day!
- 3rd - 5th Grade students - 9:00am - 11:10am
- Kinder - 2nd Grade students - 12:30pm - 2:40pm
Tuesday June 13th - 5th Grade Promotions
- Mr. Hartmann's Class - 9:00am - 9:50am
- Ms. Anderson's Class - 10:00am - 10:50am
- Mr. Hutchison's Class - 11:00am - 11:50am
Wednesday - June 14th - Last Day Of School
- 5th Grade Clap Out - 2:45pm
Families will line up outside under the covered play area. Below you will see the map. Student will take their final lap around Abernethy and then exit the building for all the families to cheer them on. This is not limited to 5th grade families! All your students will be 5th graders at some point! It is a great way to send off Abernethy students, yours or not!
The Rose Haven Bring-A-Book-Buy-A-Book fundraiser was a huge success.
Thank you to all of the families who donated books, purchased books, volunteered during the week of the sale, or donated other items for Rose Haven.
We raised $1,185 and also collected diapers, socks, shampoo/conditioner, razors, baby wipes, deodorant and more to give to Rose Haven. It was so fun watching students pick out books for summer reading and also see how excited they were to give their money to Rose Haven. I love this event every year, and it felt great to bring it back!
Next year remember to save your books to donate so we can do it again!
Last day to return Chromebooks is Friday, June 9th!
Friday, June 9th is the last day to return all student chromebooks, charging cables and cases to your classroom teacher.
Over the summer we are inventorying all chromebooks and charging cables to ensure that we have the chromebooks needed for all our students next school year. We will be ensuring that all chromebooks work and do not need repair as well as having a charging cable and case to go with it.
Please return all chromebooks to your students classroom teacher by Friday, June 9th. We will begin sending emails and making phone calls for all that have not been returned beginning Monday June 12th. We want to ensure that we are set up for next year for all your students return!
