Propaganda Inside Internment Camps
By Andrew Kikos
Japanese Internment Camps
It wasn't until after Pearl Habor, that the American government sent Japanese Americans to internment camps. Nobody in there right mind would leave there's lives behind to go to these camps. In Order to get the Japanese to these camps, the Government lied and used propaganda to make these "prisons" seem better than they were.
All Aboard
Japanese families step onto these trains hoping to be taken to nice temporary living facility.
Looks Homey!
They said that the barracks would be nice and the environment, a warm delight.
Kids Can Still be Kids
The Government promised lives wouldn't change inside the camps.
The Truth Behind the Lies.
Society Turned Their Backs
It wasn't only rough inside the camps, the government did a poor job controlling the opinions outside of the camps.
Quite the Suite!
They seemed to have forgot to mention the blistering heat outside and lack of insulation in the barracks.
Not as Great as They Promised
It gets to a point when you can tell that life isn't the same. It may be being fenced in with barbed wire or being watched daily by armed guards.
Broken
In the end, it left the people feeling broken and dry, much like the environment they lived at for the past years.
