TITAN TECH UPDATE
Remote & Hybrid Learning Checklist
Dear Families,
We look forward to welcoming our students back to school next week both in person and virtually. As part of our preparation for remote instruction, we have put together a website dedicated to all of our technology-based learning platforms. This site provides direct links, tutorials, and answers to our most frequently asked technology questions.
We would also encourage all families to attend one of the two Titan Tech Training sessions for families on Thursday, September 17th. We will be offering two sessions, one from Noon-1:00 PM and another from 7:00-8:00 PM. Login Details are below.
As we embark on the new school year we wanted to highlight a few important technology updates. All students in grades Prek-12 have a Google account. Student accounts are set up as lastname.firstname@pembrokek12.org.
In addition, all students in grades Prek-12 have access to our single sign-on portal called Clever. This helps students log in to their learning platforms all in one place. To access Clever, click here.
Grades Prek through 2 will be utilizing SeeSaw as our learning management platform. Teachers will use this platform to share interactive assignments and announcements. *Please note that some grade 2 teachers may opt to use Google Classroom instead and will communicate this directly with their classroom families.
Grades 3 through 12 will be using Gooogle Classroom as the learning management platform. It’s accessible in the waffle with all of the other Google Tools. Only students can access Classroom, and parents can receive Guardian Summaries. For a tutorial, click here.
All of our virtual meetings will be held using the video conference tool, Google Meet. Only students using @pembrokek12.org accounts will be allowed to access the meets.
In addition to the two main learning management platforms, students will have access to a variety of Google-based tools such as Google Slides, Docs, Forms, and more! Gmail (Pembroke’s email app) will only be enabled for grades 2-12.
Remote students will engage in daily instruction through remote learning. Attendance will be taken daily and students are expected to engage in course work daily. This Remote Learning Checklist will help you prepare your at-home learning environment.
We look forward to seeing you all both in-person and virtually very soon!

Technology Devices
All students in Pembroke Public Schools will be provided with remote learning devices. The younger students will receive an Ipad and the older students will receive a Chromebook.
Device pick-up schedules vary by each building. All schedules are posted to the website calendar. If you cannot pick-up a device during the scheduled time frame, please contact your building administrators directly.
Students will be expected to use a school-issued device while in school. We cannot support personal devices at school, nor can we push out important software on personal devices. Students are free to use their personal devices at home, although we strongly encourage them to use the school-issued device so our Technology Department can troubleshoot any issues.
Virtual Help Desk Contact support@pembrokek12.org for assistance. During the school day, someone should be able to get back to you quickly. We will also offer windows of time during the day when our technology staff may be able to assist you virtually. | Specific IssuesGoogle Issues -Brandon.Hall@pembrokek12.org Lexia, iReady, Clever, PowerSchool - Erin.Tinker@pembrokek12.org Chromebook Issues -Ken.Cruise@pembrokek12.org Gmail Issues -James.Ulysse@pembrokek12.org | Contacting your Child's teacher Teacher email addresses are in the format of Firstname.Lastname@pembrokek12.org. Getting Started with Clever
Getting Started with Google Meet - PreK-12
Google Meet - Google Meet is Pembroke's video conferencing tool. Only students using @pembrokek12.org user accounts may enter Meets.
Getting Started with SeeSaw- PreK-2
Grade Pre K through 2 - Seesaw is our grade PK-2 Learning Management System. Teachers use Seesaw to share interactive assignments and announcements.
Seesaw is a simple way for teachers and students to record and share what's happening in the classroom. Seesaw gives students a place to document their learning, be creative and learn how to use technology. Each student gets their own journal and will add things to it, like photos, videos, drawings, or notes. When there are new Seesaw posts, families can be notified via app notification, email, or SMS. Parents are only notified about their own child’s work, and all data is safe and secure.
Getting Started with Google Classroom 3-12
Grades 3 through 12 - Google Classroom is the learning management system for Grades 3-12. It's accessible in the waffle with all the other Google Tools. Only students can access Classroom, and parents can receive Guardian Summaries. For a tutorial, click here.
*Please note some grade 2 teachers may opt to use Google Classroom instead of SeeSaw
