Matey Message

Matey Message Week 15 Nov 29 - Dec 3

Misfits we may be, but we will rewrite history.

Dear Matey Families,

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful week with family and friends. Our second set of student conferences are coming up. Your teachers will communicate their availability to you. All students will have a conference. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me and/or your students' teachers.

**Please make a note, below are important dates for December. During high school finals, the elementary and middle schools will dismiss earlier. On Thursday, December 16, and Friday, December 17, 2021, students will dismiss at 12:30 pm. This should help with dismissal, parking, and traffic on Del Paso.

Warmly,

Mrs. Dart

Leader in Me: Work First, Then Play

Big Rocks are the most important things for you to do, such as spending time with your family, planning family meals, and getting an education. Little rocks are the less important things for you to do, such as watching TV for long periods of time, playing video games, or aimlessly searching the Internet/social media.

Construction Updates:

Big progress was made over the Thanksgiving Break! Kinder, first grade, fourth grade, and fifth-grade walls are up! This week the third-grade and second-grade walls should be complete. The school looks massive! We are so lucky!

COVID-19 Updates: Sierra Health and Natomas Unified School District (NUSD)

Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine has received emergency use authorization for 5 to 11-year-olds. Below is information about how to schedule an appointment for My Turn California and COVID-19 (through Natomas Unified School District (NUSD) and Sierra Health).

Families looking to vaccinate children ages 5 to 11 can visit myturn.ca.gov or contact their primary care provider for available appointments, however, it will likely be a few more days until appointments for this age group are widely available.

Some providers, including retail pharmacies, are already scheduling appointments on their websites, but many providers are still receiving their pediatric vaccine supply and making final preparations to vaccinate 5 to 11-year-olds.
