April Programs

Hello, April! So excited about the sunshine and warmer weather that typically comes with April! In programming this month, we continue to offer "THE COMBO" - a mix of in-person and virtual opportunities. Hopefully you can find the combination that works best with your comfort and schedule. From welcoming back in-person group fitness classes to our now regular Lodge ZOOM chats, we are thrilled to be able to connect with you in a variety of ways.

Lodge "OPEN" Hours for April

Come and go during these scheduled Lodge Open Hours. Walk-ins welcome. No pre-registration required. Socialize, use the computer, play billiards, bring your own book or handiwork, and just enjoy The Lodge. Waiver sign in for contact tracing required upon entry and masks must be worn. No food or beverages served or provided. Sanitizing stations will be available for individual use. Sorry, activities that use shared supplies/equipment will not be allowed at this time.

Aging with Gusto in the Time of COVID

An interactive ZOOM series to expand our positive view of aging during the challenges of COVID and determine for ourselves which values and key contributors we want to emphasize to continue leading meaningful and satisfying lives.

Session will explore these questions:

What contributes to Aging with Gusto for Me?

How can I recognize and respond to ageism?

How can my values and goals shape my future?

Grief: A Deeper Look (In-person)

It has been a tough year! We all have felt losses - time, experiences, and loved ones. Be a part of this starter session to dig deeper into grief and the types of grief that impact of lives. Bust open some of the common grief myths. Explore tangible skills to begin working through these losses. Please pre-register. MN Highway Safety & Research Center 55+ Driver Discount Program (In-person)

This 4 Hour Refresher Class is taught by MN Hwy Safety & Research Center. The class will explore the latest in vehicle technology, changes in laws and review defensive driving principles. Minnesota state law allows a 10% reduction on auto insurance premiums each year for three years to individuals completing the course. To register on-line 4 Hour Driver's Class or call 952.448.2023. Due to the MN state mandate, masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced. All other program specific information and health guidelines will be shared with registered participants prior to the class start date. The 4 Hour Refresher Class is for those who have already taken a 8 Hour Full Driver's Safety Course in the past 3 years.

Play several games of Bingo during this session. Mondays, April 12 and April 26 1:30-3:00 pm.

Caregivers Support Group

Share advice, stories, and encouragement. Meets the second Monday of the month from 9:30-10:45 am. (Monday, April 12)

Billiards/Pool

Rack'em up! Play pool for 45 minutes. (Maximum 4 individuals per time slot) Bring your own cue if you have one. Thursdays between 1:00-4:00 pm.

AOA Group Fitness April Schedule

AOA Group Fitness Policies (In-Person Classes)


  • Registration is required.
  • Register for AOA Group Fitness Classes on-line (keyword: fitness) or call the CCC at 952-448-5633 or Missy Goff at 952-227-7779.
  • Registration opens 72 hours in advance for CCC Members.
  • Classes are held in the Wellness Studio (doors open 10 minutes prior to class).
  • Masks are required at ALL times! (SS Splash-pool is the only exception)
  • Check-in at the CCC front desk and swipe membership card.
  • Check-in with instructor upon entry of class. If you do a same day registration, please bring your receipt to the instructor. (Same day registration is first come, first serve if spots are available.)
  • Social distancing must be strictly followed at all times.
  • No sharing equipment.
  • Clean equipment BEFORE and AFTER class.
  • Registration capacity per class location: Wellness Studio(14) Pool(20)


Virtual Classes

All studio scheduled classes will also be streamed LIVE on The Chaska Lodge Facebook page. Virtual AOA Fitness Classes are available in our Chaska Lodge Facebook Group. A personal Facebook account is required.

Bingo
We have been getting together on ZOOM for some BINGO fun! Enjoy one of America’s favorite past times from the comfort of your home! Join Lodge staff on Tuesdays, April 13 and April 27 from 1:30-2:30 pm for virtual bingo.


Lodge Social Chat
If you are more comfortable visiting virtually, Lodge Social Chats will be on Thursday, April 15 at 3 pm. We share! We play games! And most importantly we laugh!
