The AP Exam is Almost Here!
After one of the most difficult years for education in the last century, you and your students have persevered and now the AP Exam will be here soon! I'm sure there is some stress and anxiety in regard to your students' success but know that you are making history this year! I applaud you and all of the other teachers in Arkansas for all of your hard work and determination throughout the year.
When I was in the classroom (in a "normal year") I would often lose steam as the AP Exam approached. I got great advice from Penny Smeltzer, AP Statistics guru and exam leader. She told me her success during her review time was to take some of the "fun" activities you didn't have time for throughout the year and use them during your review - I would pair them with free response questions on similar topics. There are a ton of hands-on activities for your face-to-face students on the AR AIMS AP Calculus Google Site in the various CED Units. Or check out the AR AIMS AP Calculus Desmos Collection for activities for your virtual students.

Some Takeaways from the 2021 Virtual Mock Reading
I wanted to say thanks to those of you that were able to attend the Virtual Mock Reading. I was so pleased with all my presenters and table leaders. I can't wait to host this event in person! Below are a few teacher comments from the exit survey.
I really appreciated the breakdown that he gave for each point, what was acceptable, and what was not! I learned a lot and realized that I had been misunderstanding many of the rubrics I have used from released AP free-response items. This workshop really gave me some great insight! I also have some wonderful advice to give my students. And of course, I always appreciate the extra activities he shares and plan to use some of them.
Great information! I learned a lot about how FRQ's are scored.
She was fantastic at answering questions and thinking through how the feedback could help our kids.
