BCCA MESSENGER November, 2021
Harmoniously blending the work of redemption and education

BCCA Families,
As I look around at our students, I am constantly amazed at the diversity in our group. Diversity of ethnicity, economic status, beliefs, and personalities. In the same day I can have a conversation with one student about the ethical dilemmas surrounding meat production and with another student discuss the latest developments in the Mars Rover expedition. Our students are going to grow up and lead teams of medical professionals, write best-selling books, explore the world, invent technology that we can't even think of today, and shape the very world we live in. As we move into the month of Thanksgiving we are thankful for each student and each diverse blessing they bring to our school community.
Blessings,
Cassie Fristoe
BCCA Principal

Fall Picnic Fun & Pavilion Dedication
The weather could not have been better for our annual Fall Picnic at Big Cove Christian Academy! The clear evening began with our Pavilion dedication, in which the Principal Cassie Fristoe cut the ribbon to commemorate our first event under the structure that was funded by various generous donors! Thank you to all who donate towards this effort. Next we had family friendly games, and enjoyed fellowshipping with each other around the fire. As the evening closed, the Pathfinder Youth provided worshipful music to include testimonal/worship thoughts from Evie Broussard, Christopher Sanabria, and Joseph Schmitt. Once the cool of night engulfed the evening air, the children (and adults) had an opportunity to enjoy taking a hayride. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success. Special thanks to Maggie Navarro, our Home and School Leader, for organizing this event.

Taking learning outdoors
On garden day we weeded around our cabbage and broccoli plants. The plants are growing so well with this cool weather. We then added some of our compost to the plants to help feed the soil. We then planted Detroit Beets and spinach from seed. It was a beautiful day to get dirty!

My memory verse this week states:
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
The world and all its people belong to Him. Psalm 24:1
Actually this verse was assigned to my grandchildren at BCCA. It came to mind as Pam and I daily reviewed it with our grandchildren. And, what a blessing that Bible verse has been this week. Why? Because as I reviewed it I am reminded that God owns everything. He is my source and my strength.
In 2021, it feels like nearly everything in our world has changed. What’s ahead looks increasingly unlike what’s behind us. Learning is a lifelong process of just keeping abreast of change. But, praise God, the world and all its people belong to Him. When my resources are stretched, when my patience is thin, when what I have may seem inadequate for what I need, I can trust that God who owns everything is big enough to take care of little ole me.
Thank you, teachers. Keep the memory verses coming!
Love Always,
Pastor Randy Mills
