A Word from Your Friendly Neighborhood Principal. . .
Parents,
It was a busy week here at Round Hill. Report cards were shared via ParentVUE, we hosted our 5th grade DARE graduation, and we held our "For the Love of Reading Family Night" last night for the first time in 3 years! I was so impressed with the 30+ reading displays created by students! They were wonderful. We had 14 teacher readers and I had the pleasure of sharing some books through song in the gym! (a special thanks to Mr. Mike Newbold for accompanying me) I love that we all disconnected from technology for a few hours and came together around some great books!
Join me in congratulating our fifth grade students for completing the DARE program. I also want to congratulate William, McKenna, Logan, and Natalie for being recognized for their DARE essays. Charlotte was also recognized for her creatively designed poster!
This week's student life lesson selection is Camden Farrow! Congratulations Camden! Make sure to check out his video below! I also hope you will consider stopping in for a cup of coffee next Friday. We will be highlighting some student artwork and providing you an opportunity to give your feedback around different aspects of Round Hill ES. You will also enjoy an opportunity to experience one of our House parades that morning! See below for more details!
Sincerely,
Andrew Davis - Principal
January Golden Bear Award Winners
We are excited to announce our ROUND HILL GOLDEN BEARS for the month of JANUARY!
Each month, a student from every classroom is nominated to receive this award. All students chosen for this award model our 3 R’s at Round Hill Elementary - they are Respectful, Responsible and Ready to learn each and every day!
To celebrate our Round Hill Golden Bears, each student nominated is announced on our Morning News Show. In addition, they will receive a certificate that includes the reasons why their teacher chose them for this award along with a golden bear paw charm.
Please join me in congratulating Round Hill Golden Bears!
School Counseling Week! (February 6-10th)
Join me in honoring our outstanding Unified Mental Health Team. This outstanding group of professionals actively engage in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests and talents, work in a partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world, focus on positive ways to enhance students’ academic, career and social/emotional development; and work with teachers and other educators to provide an educational system where students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic and optimistic aspirations for themselves. Feel free to share some gratitude for member of our team using our Gratitude Form below!
