Thank you to our staff for your work on our school improvement day!

This week we took the time to really look more closely at our Tier 1 SEL curriculum teaching and supports.

We are committed to:

1) Proactive and positive class meetings- held regularly

2) Cross-age buddy activities that promote SEL and academic vocabulary

3) Keys to a Caring School- will start in January- with a redesign of the PRIDE awards

4) Beginning 2016 with Significant 72 activities

5) Sharing our positive stories about students- more often- with families. (Please remember to send Tanya any pics taken during cross-age buddy activities. These then can be featured in each Weekly Update for Families.)

6) A "celebration of the individual qualities" of our students- recognizing the strengths of our diversity. (Also starting in January 2016- with more conversation as a staff in deciding where our efforts will be focused!)

7) Discussing school-wide service project ideas- in the months to come
