Back to School!
Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!
Go, Tigers, Go!
As we move forward, let's "GO!" Let's build on what we started last year and TRAVEL forward. Life is a journey...let's bring that journey to Fair Grove. Check out this quote from Anthony Bourdain:
"TEACHING isn't always pretty. It isn't always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that's ok. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind."
Ya'll, could it be any more accurate than that? If teaching isn't a journey, I don't know what is. It isn't pretty, because we know that the learning happens in the messy. It isn't comfortable, because we know we have to take risks to grow ourselves and our kiddos. It hurts and it breaks our heart and every single one of us is changed because we pour our heart and soul into what we do. And as much as we give to those babies every day-they give right back to us- in the best ways they know how. And ALWAYS...without a doubt, you are leaving something good behind-something that those Tigers will take with them, hold on to, and share with others. At the end of the day, isn't that what it's all about?
So ya'll, I"m ready to "GO!" Are you?
Ready...Set...Go!
I am truly looking forward to seeing each of you here at Fair Grove. We will officially kick-off the 2019-2020 school year on Monday, August 19th. PTO will be providing breakfast at 8:00am and we will begin our opening meeting for all staff members at 8:30. While there is important information that must be shared with everyone, we have worked hard to minimize the time required of you and allow you flexibility in completing some of the requirements. I will share more about that on the 19th.
There will be other training requirements and special treats throughout the week. Please read over the information below carefully. Items listed here will also be on the Fair Grove Google Calendar. Please let me know if you have questions or need additional information about any of the following opportunities.
