What a fantastic first week of school at McKinley. Thank you to all the PTC volunteers who helped make our first day a success and to our wonderful McKinley Staff. This is going to be a fantastic school year!

-Registration packets will be sent home with students this coming week. Please be sure to complete the necessary documents and return them the next school day. Be sure and include a cell phone and email address on your student’s registration card in order to receive important messages via PowerSchool.

-Facts for parents can be found at https://www.sandiegounified.org/academics/facts_for_parents and a hard copy will be sent home in their registration packet.

- Weekly COVID tests are scheduled for Monday afternoons. Please sign up to have your child tested using this link: https://my.primary.health/l/sdusd_2022.

-The best way to report absences is to visit the McKinley website (https://mckinley.sandiegounified.org/) and to click on the link Reporting an Absence. You may also call the front office at 858 988 2400. If your child is sick, do not send them to school. A limited supply of rapid COVID tests are available by request for students showing COVID symptoms. If your child tests positive for COVID, do not send them to school and report the positive case to the front office using the number above. Here is a link to the latest decision tree.

-Starting Tuesday, McKinley visitors whose children are eating breakfast will be permitted to enter campus starting at 8:05 through the front office. All visitors must check in at the front office and leave campus at 8:15 or as soon as children are finished with breakfast.
