🏀 SEBHS BOYS BASKETBALL 🏀

The boys played in a raciuos environment at Islands HS on Tuesday (1-10-22) and pulled out a region win by a score of 74-62.

The boys battled Benedictine at home on Friday (1-13-22) and fell short, but bounced back to defeat Swainsboro on Saturday (1-14-22).

🏀 SEBHS GIRLS BASKETBALL 🏀

The girls traveled to Islands HS on Tuesday (1-10-23) and were defeated in a chaotic environment where students rushed the court with time left on the clock. Once order was restored, the team got one last attempt to tie the game, but could not get their final shot to fall.

The girls hosted a tough Statesboro team on Friday (1-13-23) and were defeated, but bounced back against Swainsboro on Saturday.

VIDEO: Downtown Pep Rally draws large crowd Friday

A large crowd of community members showed up for the Downtown Pep Rally event which featured three area high school teams, cheerleaders and band members for the annual First Friday event. Hours before the event was to begin, downtown Statesboro received 3 inches of rain.
