Gladiator News

Dr. Hector P. Garcia Middle School

October 9-13, 2017

October 6th ended our first grading period of the school year. If you have not accessed the new Home Access Center (HAC) to view your child's grades, I've included the directions below. (The directions are taken from the Brandeis webpage.)

There is an app I have found to be user friendly called My HAC in the Apple App Store. It does cost $2.99 to download, but it works. Parents, I want to stress that this App is not associated, nor endorsed by the district, it is merely one that I have found to be easily accessible on my mobile device.

Parents: If you have not established an account, click HERE. When prompted enter your student's ID number and four by four. The four by four can be the old one (last 4 letters of the last name and last 4 numbers of their social security number) or the new four by four they received this year. You will be prompted to enter your email address and will receive a confirmation email with a temporary password that will allow you to enter HAC for the first time and set your own password.

Once your account is established HAC can be accessed at hac.nisd.net. For help in setting up grade or attendance alerts, download the guide HERE.

Students: View your grades by accessing HAC at hac.nisd.net. Your User Name is S followed by your student number (S123456). Your password is your new four by four.

Students and Parents, once you're in HAC click on the "Classes" icon to see the assignments and grades. Make sure to click "Full View" (top right of the Classwork) to see both assignments and the current average for each class. See the example HERE. (Taken from Brandeis High School website)

Do you have a teacher or staff member that you'd like to recognize for going above and beyond for the students and community at Garcia Middle School? If so, please nominate them for the Gladiator Grit Award. All Nominations are Due by - Monday, Oct. 16th.
