Counselors' Message
Happy Summer Haskell Families!
Summer provides much needed time to reconnect with our families, recharge, and find some respite from the busy school year.
While we are all looking forward to a bit more down time, summer with kids out of school can present some parenting challenges. Sibling rivalry, scheduling the day, finding commonsense limits to screen time, and helping kids grow in their social/emotional skills seems like a next to impossible task at times. Stay encouraged and don't forget to breathe when things get overwhelming. You got this!
Hopefully, some of the resources included here might empower you to try to make this summer with your families "More Green and LESS Screen!".
In the last quarter your children have completed counseling lessons related to conflict resolution, communication, test taking, positive self talk, personal safety, and self-care.
It has truly been an honor to serve as your child's school counselor this year. Whether you are returning to Haskell or moving onto a different school community, we wish you and your family the very best and will treasure the time we've had with them this school year!
