Coming of Age

-------Lebron James was determined to help his hometown become a widely known place all over the world and to keep it safe. Lebron James was born in Akron, Ohio in 1984. He was born when his mother was only sixteen. His mother was always his best supporter. " My mother is my everything. Always has been. Always will be," (James). Akron, was not always the safest place to be back when Lebron was a kid, when he was growing up he was always waking up to hear gun shots, drug dealing, and police sirens.

-------Later his mom and Lebron decided to go live with basketball coach Frankie Walker. They were always moving a lot so he didn't get much education. When he was in eighth grade he was on the Ametuer Athletic Union and brought them to the national tournament finals. This is where the scouts started noticing this unknown kid from Akron. Lebron James getting more attention after he was the No. 1 pick in the 2003 draft for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Akron, became well-known after Lebron carried the team to the NBA finals, but later losing to the San Antonio Spurs in those finals in 2007.

Analysis

While Lebron was a kid he always wanted to help his mom get to a safe place. Also help Akron get known, instead of just being a small dot on the map. His relationship with his mom definitely pushed him to keep moving forward even when things get rough. The things Lebron faced when he was kid shaped him for the rough things ahead.

Lebron's Present Life

Lebron James was first on the Cleveland Cavaliers but after 7 years and no ring, he decided to go make history with the Heat. The Miami Heat owner Pat Riley brought together Lebron James and Toronto's star Chris Bosh with their own star Dwayne Wade to form a dynasty. To sign these stars Dwayne took less money to make sure they got the contracts got done. In 48 hours, the Miami Heat signed Lebron and Chris to form one of the greatest team ever built. The "The Big Three" later went on to win 2 straight NBA finals in 2012 and 2013 and going for their 3rd straight in 2014. But after this year all of the "Big Three" players are free agents.
