Mrs. Summers' Newsletter

January 29, 2016

Its Been a Great Week!

We continued with our book The Toothpaste Millionaire. The students worked hard in their interactive reading journals responding to one another using questioning and text evidence. We had some great supply and demand scenarios. The kids did a great job knowing what would happen to the price in certain situations. In math, the second graders finished up their multiplication/division unit and started into fractions.

Things to Look Forward to Next Week!

We will finish our novel study of The Toothpaste Millionaire. We will start a study on inventors using biographies. We will take a break from economics for a bit and move to rocks and minerals in Science. In math the second graders will be working with fractions and ratios.
