4 Weeks Left!

Hard to believe we have passed the midway point of the 4th quarter. It is so rewarding to see the growth in our students athletically, musically, behaviorally, socially, and academically. Our end of the year concerts, track meets, and school projects routinely display the amazing work of our staff and students.

Upstander Alliance Group

A new group has emerged at Webster this year, the REDgen Upstander Alliance group. This group focuses on empowering students to take ownership over Webster and the student culture. The Upstander Alliance is a group of students and teachers that will work together to spread positivity and kindness around Webster and to promote the acceptance and inclusion of all students. Student Ambassador Group

Another new student group has emerged, the Student Ambassador Group. Their mission is to create an environment where our students feel connected to their school. This will foster a positive school culture where student voice is heard. Current 7th graders were nominated and have already begun to meet as they plan for visits from current 5th graders to enhance our transition program to Webster. Once the year starts they will lead a variety of activities to create a deeper connection between the grade levels by pairing 8th grade homerooms with 7th grade and 6th grade homerooms for a variety of activities. WMS PTO Meeting!

Our next PTO meeting is Tuesday, June 5th at 7:00pm in the Webster IMC. At this meeting we are continuing to take nominations for board seats and we will vote on them at this meeting.


6th Grade Orientation Dates

Our 6th grade orientation dates have been scheduled and a personalized letter will be sent to incoming 6th grade families inviting them to a specific orientation date and time. The dates of our orientations are August 21st, 22nd, and 23rd and will take place in the evening.

All School Awards Program

This will take place on Tuesday, June 12th from 1:45pm-2:45pm. If your child will be receiving an award parents will receive a personalized invitation to the event. Please contact Mrs. Radtke with any questions.

Long Range Master Plan

At the School Board meeting on April 23, 2018 the Board reviewed solutions related to identified needs as part of the Long Range Master Plan. After 30+ focus groups, engaging with 450+ individuals the Board has developed solutions to address school capacity/growth, learning spaces and safety and security.

As part of an information gathering process of the Long Range Master Plan (LRMP), the School Board approved a community survey. Cedarburg School District recently released a community-wide survey which has been mailed to all residents of the school district. The School Board is seeking input from the community on proposed solutions to address the identified needs at each of the five schools. This is a reminder to complete the survey by June 1. To obtain additional surveys for other adults in your household, please call the district office at 376-6100.

Superintendent Bugnacki will be available to provide the community with an overview and answer any questions. If you have questions or are interested in learning more, please plan to attend one of the three community update sessions coming in the next few weeks.

Student Survey Results

This year our students participated in a school survey. The two main topics that students highlighted were PIE Time classes and school culture. This year after meeting with student and parent focus groups along with our staff's input we are making some improvements for the 2018-2019 school year. Our PIE time will be changing to include a weekly homeroom, study time, and grade level team building time to enhance our relationships across the building. We have also created two new student leadership groups (previous mentioned) that will help guide our student body and take more ownership over Webster's culture. We are excited to bring these enhancements to our students next year.

Grad Grams

High School Graduation is June 4, 2017 and a wonderful tradition, sponsored by CHS PTO, is assembling Grad Grams. These endearing keepsake books are filled with personalized messages from students, teachers, parents, coaches, grandparents and friends congratulating graduating seniors.
