Hinduism is a religion made up of a variety of different religions beliefs. This religion started over 4,000 years ago. There are about 900 million people that are a part of Hinduism. Most Hindus are found in the USA, India, Indonesia and Nepal. The pattern of social classes in Hinduism is called the "caste system." Karma is a concept in Hinduism which explains causality through a system where beneficial effects are derived from past beneficial actions and harmful effects. Dharma is the religious and moral law for Hindu's. Reincarnation is the process of birth, death and rebirth.


Shintoism is a polytheistic belief and they express their love and respect for nature. Shintoism is an ethnic religion of the people in Japan. They celebrate the life and beauty of nature. The population of Shintoism is about 130,000,000 people. Kami is a general term for spirits, some Kami are compared to the gods of the west. Kami can also be forces of objects, nature and important people. The Kami means ''high'' or ''Superior''. Shinto is Japans native religion. It developed in olden times on Japanese islands. Shintoism do not believe in books like the bible or koran but they do have religious texts that they follow and believe in. The Torii is a traditional Japanese gate, most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine. It symbolically marks the transition from the profane to the sacred.


Confucianism a system of philosophical and ethical teachings founded by Confucius and developed by Mencius. Confucianism is not a religion. Most people cultivate one’s character by education. It originated in china. The founder of Confucianism was Confucius. Around 5-6 million people are part of the Confucianism religion. Confucianism began in China, where the teachings were taught. Confucius believed that people should conduct their lives based on 2 principles.

Buddhism is a nontheistic religion or philosophy that encompasses a variety of traditions, beliefs and spiritual practices largely based on teachings attributed to Gautama Buddha, commonly known as the Buddha it means "the awakened one". It is the 4th largest religion in Asia. It was also created a little more than 2500 years ago. In this religion there isn’t a supreme god. The founder of Buddhism was Siddhartha Gautama. He started it all. There are over 360 million followers. Siddhartha Gautama got a nick name called Buddha. He got this from teaching dharma and Buddha means enlightened one. Buddhism began in India for the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama.
