Mrs. Pierce’s Principal Message
Advent is in the air. This Sunday begins Advent. “Advent” means “coming” (More4kids.info). Advent is the time we use to prepare for the coming of our Lord and Savior’s birth. Advent helps us focus on Jesus rather than Santa Clause and the other commercial things. How can you celebrate Advent? One may make or buy an Advent Wreath, light the corresponding candle and pray
Each candle on the Advent Wreath has a specific meaning:
- Candle one (purple) represents hope. It is often called the prophets’ candle.
- Candle two (purple) represents peace. It is often called the angels’ candle.
- Candle three (pink) represents joy. It is often called the shepherds’ candle.
- Candle four (purple) represents love. It is often called the Bethlehem candle.
Many advent wreaths also include a Christ candle in the middle of the wreath. Here are a few websites to help you create a wonderful prayerful time with your family:

May we continue to keep Christ in Christmas as we prepare and hope for Jesus.
Peace be with you,
Mrs. Pierce

Friendly Morning Drop Off Car Line Reminders:
1. Beginning Monday, November 13th if you have a PreK 3 or 4 student, please walk them in using the front of the building, unless they are walking with an older sibling at carline. It is becoming too dangerous to have families park in between car line drop off and walk through the back.
2. Please DO NOT park on Saint Maria Court and walk your student across the street or let them cross by themselves.
3. If your student does not arrive before 7:50 A.M., you must walk them to the front office to receive a tardy pass. Students cannot walk inside unless a parent accompanies them when they are tardy.
Thank you for your cooperation! We appreciate the extra effort on your part to ensure the safety of the students.
