WITH HEARTS AND MINDS, WE'RE TURNING VISION INTO ACTION
Principal's Message
December has arrived and with it, more ❄️SNOW!! ⛄️ , which is making for lots of excitement in our school and community.
Our amazing PAC has a number of fundraising initiatives underway which support learning here at RSS - more information is outlined below. Speaking of helping out, if you have a some free time in your day and need some fresh air, please consider the role of noon-hour supervisor. With the winter season upon us, we can use the help!
December is also a time to find a spot in our hearts for those that may not be as fortunate as ourselves and in this season of giving, there are many opportunities to make a difference in the life of a child. Please consider participating in one of these initiatives as they present themselves.
I would like to wish our entire Rossland Summit School community a happy and healthy winter break and a Happy New Year in 2021!

Communicating Student Learning at Rossland Summit School
It certainly was a challenging start to the year and we continue to navigate new obstacles on our journey together. With this in mind, we are reaching a point in the year when students and teachers are now settling into learning routines and we are turning our attention to assessing and reporting student learning.
Last year several RSS teachers were involved in a Provincial Reporting Pilot and this year we are continuing with these reporting guidelines, as we have been informed that the Province will be moving to this format in September 2021.
What and when can you expect to hear from your child’s teacher regarding learning progress this year?
