COVID Update #14
Friday 13th May
WA GOVERNMENT FREE RAT PROGRAM
Dear Parents & Caregivers,
I am writing to let you know that as part of the WA Government's RAT program, free RATs for each student have now been delivered to our school.
These free RATs will support our students to continue to attend school for face-to-face learning and will minimise disruption to their schooling. You will be able to test your child at home if they are feeling unwell. You can also use these RATs if your child is a close contact to enable them to test daily and continue to attend school, as long as they receive a negative result, remain asymptomatic, and wear a mask if they are in Year 7 and above. I attach a letter from WA Health which explains how to use the RATs.
There is 1 box of 20 RAT's for every child. These must be collected by parents. We will start handing out these RATs as follows:
- Beginning Monday 16th May parents/caregivers can collect 1 box per child from Administration during office hours 8am to 4pm (Mon-Thur) 8am - 3:30pm (Fri).
- Please note: it is 1 box per child. This means that if you have 3 children in our school, you are entitled to 3 boxes. Your name will be crossed off once collected.
As usual, if your child becomes symptomatic, they should stay home and be tested for COVID-19. If they test positive, please register this result with WA Health via https://www.healthywa.wa.gov.au/ratregister You should also notify the school if your child tests positive for COVID-19 through our self-reporting portal https://cewa-collections.powerappsportals.com/COVID-19-Self-Reporting-Form/.
Refer to healthywa.wa.gov.au for information on close contact definition, testing and isolation requirements. Thank you for your continued efforts in keeping our school COVID-19 safe.
