Endangered Species

Although there are no recorded fish in Lake Fork that are endangered you might want to be mindful of what you catch just in case a species has moved there. Examples of endangered species in Texas include Widemouth Catfish, River Goby, Toothless Blindcat, and Mexican Goby.

Invasive Species

Zebra mussels are a big problem at lake fork. Drain your boat and wipe it down to prevent spreading the zebra mussels to other lakes. Quagga mussels are also another invasive threat to lake fork and can be prevented the same way as Zebra mussels.
