Weekly Updates/ Reminders:
- All parent teacher conferences forms should have been sent out, if you have not done so they MUST go home Monday. It is the expectation that you have 100% Parent Teacher Conferences.
- ACTION: ISP's and SGO's were due on October 12, please ensure these are submitted on MLP by 5pm Monday, October 15. If you have any questions please see Ms. Enders or Ms. Lugrand.
- Ensure that you have met with you Building Leadership Team representative and know safe seat and radio call procedures.
- Achievement Series post assessments finished and data collected
- Tardies (T) should only be marked for the hour in which the student is tardy, do not push all day for tardies.
- Keep up the attendance efforts... your hard work is paying off! We have met our Attendance goal in both August and September!!

Professional Development
- Wednesday, October 17, 2018-- Wednesday PD- Building PD 7:40 - 8:50
- Friday, October 19, 2018- Building Professional Development/ Knock & Talk
- Weekly meetings: PST-- please make sure you send the names of any new students you would like to meet about and bring the PST packet and referral document complemeted
- Please check the district catalog on MLP for upcoming Math, Science and ELA Professional Development opportunities

- As we continue to look at the focus and rigor happening in our classrooms here are few questions to always be thinking about---
- Is there more student talk than teacher or adult talk?
- Is there ample student work posted throughout the classroom?
- Have you made the lesson relevant to the student's life so that they are able to make connections and feel the relevance/reason for learning the objective?
- How am I checking for the understanding of ALL students?
- Finally, continue to implement behavioral strategies discussed during Wednesday's professional development to help assist with behaviors in your classroom setting.

Shout Outs
- Ms. Jessica Berry: For using I-statements in her classroom to de-escalate and peer confrontation in the classroom setting.
- Ms. Egli, Ms. Gandy, Mrs. Tillman, and Ms. Aguilera: For assisting with difficult behaviors while students are loading the buses. Thank you stepping up until Admin. can assist on a daily basis.
- Ms. Schippers: Having a Restorative conversation with a student in her 'Buddy Room' prior to him returning to his classroom.
- Mrs. Nelson, Ms. Inman, and Ms. Lee: For displaying "Mother Theresa" patience with our students as we work through interventions for a number of our students.
- Building Leadership Team members for volunteering their time twice a month to represent their grade level team and participate in making best decisions for our students and our school
- Attendance Committee members for coming early every week to meet, plan incentives and discuss next steps for our students with attendance needs
- Ms. Harnage & Mr. Martin for taking over and holding down the fort last week while the admin team was out of the building
