SENIOR EDITION - MAY 7, 2021
Well, this is it, y’all. The 2020 - 2021 school has finally ended and we are closing a chapter of our lives to start new ones. It may be a sad moment to some or an exciting moment for others. It was definitely hard but in the end, so worth it. Thank you Agua Fria High School for the best four years of high school.
After one chaotic, disruptive, and interesting year, we are finally at the end! And with school closing out, then we must say our goodbye, especially from us seniors and stuff! We wanted to say thank you from OwlFeed, and say we appreciate all of you readers and fans who have supported us! This year was possibly one of our hardest, but we believe that with hardships came success. We appreciate everything and finally, one last time, thank you for everything. This is OwlFeed, signing off!

Wow, I can’t believe it’s already the end of my high school journey. And just like everyone, I too felt like I just started high school a few months ago when in reality it was four years ago.
To be honest, I have a love-hate relationship with high school. It brought out my best moments and my worst, but I honestly would never go back and change a thing about it.

From day one, kindergarten to today, the final weeks of my senior year and the entire 13 years in between, the time has gone by so fast. When we were younger in elementary school and middle school, your senior year of high school always felt so far away. But now that I’m here just a few days before graduation, I realize that the time flew by.
Walking into those gates freshman year with my friends by my side and hundreds of new faces around me, I thought to myself, “This is going to be the longest four years of my life”.

Even before stepping through the gates of Agua Fria for the first time, I already had memories preceding my freshman year. Living right in front of the school I would always see kids much older than me walk in and out and I would only gaze thinking my senior year would feel like decades away.

Congratulations Class of 2021 — you are the first AFHS class to graduate in a pandemic!
I always knew you would be historic. You should know now that you can get through anything if you made it through this roller coaster year. Even though this year had many twists and turns, you guys made it through to the end and we are very proud of you.

Graduating Class of 2021 –
Your class is one of the most memorable groups of students I’ve had the pleasure of teaching and getting to know since starting working at Agua Fria in 2016. Many of you were in my first AVID 9 class and so many more of you have passed through my doors to J14 for art classes or EOT (whether assigned here or not).

Dear Class of 2021,
Every class at Agua Fria plants the seeds for many memories leading up to what kind of class they will be by their senior year. Will they be witty, confident, funny, smart, artistic or athletic?
By: Josh Jovanelly, Journalism Advisor
To the Class of 2021:
At so many moments over this past year, I have thought about one of my favorite scenes from the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Gandalf and Frodo, who is carrying the all-powerful ring and effectively the fate of the world around his neck, tells Gandalf that he wishes the ring had never come to him, and that all the pain and suffering it caused had never happened.

One Last Message For Seniors
Even though we didn't experience our traditional senior year, we did have the most unique senior year. We've waited four years for this time to come and it's finally here. Regardless of if you're going to college, the military, or straight to work, I wish you all the best. I don't want to say goodbye because someday in the future we'll see each other again or at least at the local Walmart down the street the next day. :) Lastly, remember Owls, stay safe, stay humble, and stay swaggy.
