PTO (Travis Parents) – Let’s Appreciate Staffulty
Spooktacular News!!! Our first Teacher Appreciation event will take place on October 31st. We are asking any volunteers to donate items towards a Halloween Social for our THS Teachers and Staff. Items that are signed up for may be dropped off at the front office, the morning of October 31st, between 7:30am-9:30am.
Below is the link to the sign-up:
Travis DECA attended a contest at University of Houston-Downtown!
THS was host to an amazing Mike Smith "Find Your Grind" event!
The swim season is in full swing and our Tigers are doing AWESOME!
ARRIVAL TIME!!!
Parents who drop off: please remember that 1st period STARTS at 7:30am sharp. If your student does not get dropped off before 7:25am, then there is a strong likelihood that she/he is tardy to first period. Persistent tardies is an attendance issue AND a discipline issue. Please make sure your student gets to school with plenty of time to get to class! THANK YOU!!!
Students Selling Items at School
Students are not permitted to sell items at school for personal gain or for outside
Organizations. If the items a student tries to sell are food items, the items will be confiscated and discipline will be given. Students may not sell items for school-approved fund-raiser sales during school hours either. Bottom line, there should be no money exchanges between students during the school day.
Please Do Not Drop Students Off in the Student Parking Lot
At Travis High School, student safety is paramount, and in the interest of safety, we want to remind parents not to drop your students off in the student parking lot. This area is reserved for student drivers. Parents should drop students off in the front circle near the front of the building. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of our students.
The Belles performed their annual "Bob and Belle" dance. It was a hit as always!
Our Travis Tiger Band made us all proud with an awesome performance at UIL Area Marching Band Contest!
JROTC receives an inspection at their contest on Saturday!
Balloons and Flowers
Students are not permitted to carry balloons or flowers with them from class to class. Balloons and flowers (or other such items) should not be brought or delivered to school. In the event a student brings or receives these items, the student will be required to store them in the front office until the end of the day. These items are not delivered to students. If deliveries of this type are received in the office, the student is notified to pick-up the items after school.

PTO/YES Program
The YES table is every Tuesday during all three lunches. Students can look for us in the Commons with the red tablecloth labeled Travis YES Program. If students need a print-out of their hours for National Honor Society or for any other reason, they should fill out the request form available at the table and turn in to one of the YES representatives. Students will be able to pick up the print-out the following Tuesday at the YES table, so please make a note of your deadlines and plan accordingly!
