Apostle Paul was born and raised in Tarsus. A city in Turkey.
Paul wrote a lot of books in the New Testament.

On the road to Damascus while he was going to kill the Christians because they believed in God. He was burning churches too. An angel came among them on this road and asked Saul why he was doing these things? Saul repented and God changed his name to Paul. This is one of the roads he might have taken.
Famous places in Turkey
Prophet Noah
He built the ark because God was going to send a flood. No one listened to him and he and his family are the only people who survived.
The ark!
Two of every animal went into the ark and the rain came down when the dove brought back the olive tree branch.
Mount Ararat
This is where the ark is said to have landed. It is in Turkey! Turkey's highest mountain, Mount Ararat has two peaks, with Great Ararat reaching 16,945 feet (5,165 meters)."The mountain is considered sacred by many people and is believed to be where Noah beached his ark after the great flood."
Famous food and dessert
kebab
In the Middle East, kebab refers to meat that is cooked over or next to flames; large or small cuts of meat, or even ground meat; it may be served on plates, in sandwiches, or in bowls. It is traditionally lamb but can be any kind of meat. My mom had a chicken one once and it had a hint of cinnamon in it! YUM!
baklava
"Baklava is a rich, sweet pastry made of layers of filo filled with chopped nuts and sweetened and held together with syrup or honey." Delicious! I have had these before at a Mediterranean restaurant. They are sticky and sweet and flaky. Highly recommend!
cig kofte (the red dish in the back on the right side.)
My brother is living in Turkey right now and he sent me this picture of some of his favorite food. "A raw meat dish in Turkish cuisines. It is traditionally made with either beef or lamb, and usually served as an appetizer."
