Wilson Hill Families
Within the past week there has been a lot happening around Wilson Hill. Last Friday we kicked off the weekend with our annual PTO Fall Festival. It was great to see so many families from our Wilson Hill community come and support our school. A huge shoutout to our Wilson Hill PTO for putting on an outstanding event. Yesterday, Wilson Hill hosted our first ever cross country meet. Nearly 300 elementary age runner from across the Worthington School district attended. I wanted to personally congratulate all our White Tiger XC runners for an outstanding job. Also, a huge thanks to Kate Bartalon, and all parents who had a hand in making this event happen. Wilson Hill is a great community, and these events are just a few reasons why!
Below you'll find the updates for the week.

Music Update - Mr. Leist
This week in music with Mr. Leist, all students have been learning about Peter and the Wolf, a symphonic fairy tale composed by Sergei Prokofiev. The story is of Peter, a mischievous boy who disobeys his grandfather, climbs over a wall, and encounters a wolf. With help from his animal friends (a bird, a cat, and a duck), Peter captures the wolf, and takes it to a zoo.
This Saturday and Sunday (October 1 and 2) the Worthington Chamber Orchestra and Hixon Dance will give three performances of Peter and the Wolf at the McConnell Arts Center. Each performance will last approximately 35 minutes. Saturday’s 3:00 pm performance will feature an
“instrument petting zoo.” Mr. Leist and Mrs. Soroosh will both be attending the Saturday 11:00am performance if you would like to join them. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children.
Kindergarten Girl Scouts
All Kindergarten girls are invited to try Girl Scouts at a meeting on Monday, Oct. 3, at 6:30pm in the cafeteria at Wilson Hill. Girls will learn some fun Girl Scout traditions, hear the story of our founder Juliette Gordon Low, make a craft to remember the Girl Scout Law, and sing a silly song!
