New!!! arrival and dismissal expectations

To all McLaughlin Middle School families and friends, please take the time to thoroughly review our arrival and dismissal outline and expectations:

Morning

  1. You may drop off your students between 6:45 and 7:20. Remember they are tardy beginning at 7:25.

  2. Please note if a bus extends its red “stop” sign. If this is out, you may not pass the bus. Also, please do not pull into the courtyard area between the hours of 6:45 and 7:45. Please be advised that the road around the building is a one-way.

  3. If parents are dropping off their children at Green Acres School to walk down to McLaughlin Middle School, please use the crosswalk that staff is monitoring.

  4. Parking for visitors is next to the gymnasium.

Dismissal

  1. 2:20 Buses are dismissed first. Cars will not be allowed to be parked where the buses are picking up students until all buses leave.

  2. 2:25 Walkers and Riders. If you are picking someone up, please follow the directives of McLaughlin staff. We are mindful of being efficient as we know you are all very busy.

We strive to keep the lines moving, so please move and pull up as far down the line as possible when directed to. Your child can walk to you.

Quarter 2 will be ending end of January.....yes that went quick :)

Reminder that quarter 2 will be ending on January 25th. Please check your parent portal for how your child is doing in their classes. Your child also has access to this through their student portal. Please have your child check with their teachers about what day their teacher stays after every week for make up days if your child is struggling with academics.
