Please Note the Blood Drive is for Adults Only
Each year, nearly 5 million Americans need blood transfusions. Blood helps trauma and burn patients, premature infants, heart surgery patients, organ transplant recipients and those fighting cancer, among others. In emergencies, it’s the blood already on hospital shelves that saves lives. Learn more about what makes blood so special.
Donating blood is one of the easiest ways to give back to your community. If you’ve never donated blood before, we encourage you to try! We’ll guide you through every step and answer any questions. Here’s what you can expect, eligibility requirements and things you can do ahead of time to make your experience pleasant and rewarding.
Last week of Cheers for Children is here!
Dear DATA Families,
It is the time of year to donate items and help other families in our schools that are in need. Cheers for Children ends this Thursday, December 19th.
Our school has been assigned DRIED DESSERTS: cake mix, Jello, muffin mix, pudding, and sugar.
Please turn in any donated items to Ms "K" in Physical Education. Additionally, please note turning in 10 non-perishable items gets the student a mile pass. Top ramen is not acceptable for the mile pass. All non-perishable items are acceptable.
For more information please open the Letter attached below.
Other Events
DATA Families you are invited to Buena High School's Family Science Night
Buena High School’s Science League is a science club dedicated to spreading their love of science and promoting their passions to nearby schools.
On December 20th, 6-7:30pm in Buena’s room 114, Science League will be hosting a science exhibition known as Family Science Night, where local Ventura families are invited to come watch science experiments performed by their members.
This Family Science Night combines both a usual science exhibition with a twist! The event is a late-scientist escape room theme, where families will gather clues based on our exhibitions and other clues + puzzles hidden in the room to create a password that will ultimately let them escape.
Any DATA Families interested in Buena cheer please see the pdf attached below.
