'Tis the Season
With our friends from Rm 4, we threw bean bags into a turkey, played Duck Duck Goose using the iPad Proloquo app to practice saying duck and goose, talked about same and different gingerbread men, played turn-taking games at the yellow table, and practiced making animal noises. We rode on scooter boards to our string of letter Christmas tree lights, where we picked up a light and matched the letters. We have been shopping in our grocery store dramatic play area. We have also been working on identifying emotions, especially happy, sad, and surprised. We talked about how it's okay to be sad, but it's not okay to be mean.
Last Thursday, Ms. Veronica brought in a dinosaur costume and I dressed up as the dino (so hot but so fun) and several classes together had a "Dinosaur Olympics" for those who wanted to participate. We did some stretches and a long obstacles course, then received dino medals (thank to Ms. Renae)!
