Happy New Year Panthers! We were excited to see everyone this week and meet some new friends as well!

The spring semester of school is upon us. The spring semester always seems to fly by as we have many opportunities for memories to be made and fun campus activities planned. In 4 weeks we will host one of my favorite events of the year, Boosterthon Fun Run. Each week, leading up to the run, we will share information regarding our main fundraiser for the year. I hope you are getting excited! It is going to be a blast!

We are excited to kick off our Powell Panther Fun Run on 02/02/2023. Our goal is to raise $47,000 for field trips, technology, and teacher incentives and to strengthen our school community.

Our school has always relied on fundraising to provide exceptional opportunities to enhance student learning and we need YOUR HELP registering your student(s) and sharing with friends and family.

Spring Season 2023

Girls on the Run is a national program that promotes self-esteem and teaches girls healthy social and emotional behaviors while encouraging exercise.

Practice will begin the week of February 6, 2023

(Powell Elementary: Mondays & Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00)

Girls on the Run 5K: April 29, 2022

One great way to share words of encouragement, gratefulness and/or special recognition is by submitting a TAE for one of our staff members. This can be done through Parent Access Center (PAC).

Do you want to recognize an AWESOME Powell teacher? If so, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to Parent Access.
2. Click on communication.
3. Choose Staff/Teacher excellence from the drop down menu.
4. Select the employee to receive recognition from the drop down menu.
5. Click create TAE.
6. Click any of the pre-populated choices that apply.
7. Type any additional comments in the Additional Comment box.
8. Click the box labeled Create Teachers Achieving Excellence button.
9. Done!
