Wanted Wild Readers - Send your kids off begging for books.
Got Destiny? Where kids can read online for free and fun. Tell them to log in and click the Universal Search on the lefthand navigator, and then to find a book to read ; it's that simple.
We have about 130 eBooks students can access over the summer in Destiny. All they have to do is log into Black Mountain Library Destiny, go to the catalog page, click Universal Search, and then read online. They can download books too, via an app called Brytewave K-12 available free online and then checkout each book for two weeks.
Please give your kids this information, so they have access to our popular titles and series they love like the Percy Jackson Series, the False Prince series, the Maze Runner series, the Hunger Games series, the Alchemyst series, and many single titles such as Every Soul a Star, The Chocolate Wars, Bluefish and more.
While kids can read the novels, you all may want to have a look at our unlimited-use, eBook, nonfiction titles over the summer too, to use next year on all our new ChromeBooks with your whole class. See steps below.
As Poway Staff, you also have the opportunity to read on our new district 'Overdrive' Shelf that is now at the high schools. See way way below for directions, or on our Library Destiny Home page under Summer Reading.
Big things are in the works for eBooks next year. This is the first step into a much larger reading universe coming to PUSD next year. Email jchambers@powayusd.com with any questions.

Three hints:
*Click the center of the ebook pages to bring up a ribbon that can skip you through pages.
*The A at the top of the page allows you to change the back light and font size. ( I like the sepia lighting. It is easier on my eyes.)
*The three lines offer you a synopsis of the book.
