Academic Excellence and Achievement Every Scholar, Every Class, Every Day!
Welcome Back Mighty Bulldogs
I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving break and made great memories with your family! Can you believe that we are entering into December--the last month on 2020? WOW, how time is moving quickly. As we enter into this last month, I challenge each of us to reflect on the first quarter of the year and identify areas which may have not gone as we originally planned and commit to making necessary changes that will ensure we are successful in these areas moving forward. As One School, One Team, Making a Difference, you are never alone; should you need help ask--ask other scholars, ask the teacher, ask staff, ask Admin and even ask fellow Mighty Bulldogs in the community. It is only through TEAMWORK that we will accomplish our goals. Thank you to those who completed the Parent Survey; Mrs. Grant and I will be reviewing the results and using this information to plan for the second half of the year. Remember, it is not the curriculum nor technology that is used each day, it is the classroom teacher who makes the difference in the educational experiences of our scholars; please continue to encourage our teachers during this time as we all can use a little encouragement along the way. Have a great week.

A Message from Mrs. Curry, PTA President
I wanted to share some information that may assist parents who work for the Federal Government with children who need extra academic support due to the pandemic and disruptions to schooling. The Federal Employee Education and Assistance (FEEA) fund has partnered with Tutor.com to provide free one-on-one online help from professional tutors in nearly all K-12 subjects. Currently, only employees who earn under $100,000 per year are eligible to enroll, but they may offer to employees who earn above this threshold if funding permits in the future. Distance Learning Handbook
The purpose of this handbook is to compile, in one place, the policies, procedures and forms that will enable Brandywine Elementary scholars to successfully fulfill his/her responsibilities during Virtual Learning. It has been prepared with the sincere hope that it will be used as a ready reference by families with concerns related to classroom procedures, administration policies and organization norms.
Suggestions on how to become better acquainted with your scholar(s), how to learn about school routines and procedures, and how to secure professional help are included.
The adopted policies are subject to modification, as situations require. The need may arise for revision of this handbook. Feel free to offer suggestions. It is only through cooperative efforts of everyone concerned that we hope to create a wholesome atmosphere/environment for all.
