Dear Parents,
It was great to see so many of you at conferences!
English
As a reminder, students are expected to read something of their choice outside of class. This can be a book, newspaper, or magazine.
Math
Last week, students learned about positive and negative numbers. They specifically learned about integers and they practiced comparing and ordering them on a number line. At the end of the week, students learned about rational numbers and irrational numbers. They have 2 homework assignments that are due on Monday: Page 143(2-13)/Page 144(1-6) & Page 149(2-19)/Page 150(1-6).
This week, students will continue working with rational numbers. They will learn how to plot rational numbers on a number line, as well as comparing and ordering them. Towards the end of the week, students will take a Mid-Chapter Quiz. This will most likely be the last assessment before the end of the marking period.
