Phases of the moon

Each month, the moon orbits around the earth. As it does that, it reflects the sun's rays of light. This is called the phases of the moon. It starts with the new moon,waxing crescent,1st quarter, waxing gibbous, full, waning gibbous, 3rd quarter, and waning crescent is the last one.

The meaning of tide- the alternate rising and falling of the sea, usually twice in each lunar day at a particular place, due to the attraction of the moon and sun.
