PLTW
We have been busy learning about form and function to solve the problem of spreading a large amount of seeds across a large area in a short amount of time. So far we've studied how nature can be used in design by analyzing man-made and natural objects. We've learned about pollen and pollination (seen below) and about how seeds are spread by animals and nature. This coming week, we will learn about properties of matter and begin designing our seed spreaders. We will test the spreaders before we break for summer.
*Students may be asking to bring materials from home for their designs.
End of Year Testing
We've almost wrapped up our end of the year testing. Most reading benchmarks are completed. Expect to receive a letter in the coming days with your child's most recent reading level. We completed Reading NWEA last Thursday and will take Math NWEA this Tuesday. They are doing awesome - so proud of each of every student!
