Ham-Par Happenings
December Volume 45/Issue 4
Mrs. Hasse's Spotlight
Ironically, last year I talked about the impact of the holiday season on children and their behavior. I know we all crave fun and normality. It may be hard to achieve now more than ever, but a strategy within our control is to make yourself a calming mantra that you repeat to yourself throughout your day, like "let go of the things that don’t matter" (cue Elsa...haha!) or "I’ve done well and I don’t have to be perfect." If you are able to lead your life for your family from this standpoint, your children will follow your example and be sure to benefit as well!
My you have a blessed, joyous, and peaceful holiday season where you are able to BE PRESENT and enjoy your wonderful families.
If myself or the HP staff can support you in anyway, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Habits @ Home
“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”
Habit #2 teaches us to think about the outcome before we get started, create the final product or result in our mind before physically creating it. A good way to think about Habit 2 is imagine a jigsaw puzzle. You have to see the picture of the completed puzzle before starting.
How to use Habit #2:
Identify a meaningful goal.
Visualize yourself achieving the goal.
Break it down into manageable steps.
Check in on your or your child’s progress.
Lingo:
I work toward setting and achieving goals.
I am responsible by being prepared and ready for the day.
I think how my actions and words affect others.
I do things that have meaning and make a difference.
