Cherokee's fought for court ruling because people considered them as independent. Court said that Georgia could not interfere with the Cherokee. Jackson did not the listen to the ruling and took down the nation anyway.

Nullifacation Act
There was a Tariff of 1828 and a Tariff of 1832. South was very angry because they had very little manufacturing and depended on imported goods. Congress passed The forece bill to make sure South Carolina would pay their taxes. Jackson could also use his army to force them to pay taxes.
Letter from a Cherokee
Something yall should know if Jackson is a jerk! First of all, Jackson thinks that he can just walk in and move where we live! We have our own Constitution and our own language. And even after the court said that he couldn't, he still tried to do it anyway! Nobody should have voted for this man.
Letter from a Frontiersman
Jackson is probably one of the best people I have ever met! He is understanding and treats everybody with respect. Everybody that voted for him definitely made the right decision. I hope Jackson runs a second term!
