WELCOME BACK
I want to thank our families, students, and staff during this ever changing education environment. We continue to communicate through voice messages, emails, and keeping our website current. It is important to review your ParentVue account to ensure phone numbers and emails are correct so you can receive information updates.
Our staff is working hard in preparing to welcome your student(s) for the 2020-21 school year. Our building administrators and school counselors are working diligently to assign classes. You will be receiving student schedules, from your student's building, in the very near future.
Linden Community Schools will start on September 8, 2020, in a remote learning environment. Our Return to School Plan can be found on our website. We will continue to communicate with LCS families if the learning environment changes.
As we work together throughout your student's schooling, it is important to remember that we are a TEAM. If we continue to focus on your student's growth, together we will make a tremendous impact. Here is to a GREAT school year, and welcome back!

This insurance coverage does include a $28.00 co-pay that will need to be paid for by the student/family checking the device out. The $28.00 payment covers any damage to the device; including screens, webcams and keyboards, caused by accidental drops or spills, including accidental water damage. Manufacturer defects and hardware failure are covered by the district. There are no deductible costs for families associated with qualified repairs. Families are entitled to total of three (3) accidental damage claims per school year for each insured device. E-funds for Schools
The Linden Community School District is pleased to introduce a new program called e~Funds for Schools. This program offers various options for parents/guardians who choose to make payments online and it is extremely user friendly. Not only will you have the ability to have various school fees and lunch payments electronically withdrawn from your checking account or charged to your credit card, you also have the flexibility to make a payment at any time through the school's website. The district does not request or keep records of family checking or credit card account information.
Additional information on e~Funds for Schools, including a step-by-step Guide for Parents can be found on our website under the "Parent" tab.

Linden Community Schools Bond 2020
To keep voters safe and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Linden Community Schools Board of Education rescheduled the May proposal to November 3rd. The November ballot proposal contains the same projects as the May 5th proposal, and the net tax rate increase will also remain the same—1.0 mill. To reduce overall bond interest cost, the bonds will be sold in three series.
The comprehensive bond proposal addresses needs in four general categories:
1. enhancing student safety and school security
2. expanding and enhancing the instructional environment
3. remodeling, upgrading, and constructing school facilities
4. upgrading technology and technology infrastructure
The bond proposal calls for numerous projects, including adding a Media Center to Linden Elementary School, expanding the Linden High School Media Center, adding secure entrances to Central, Hyatt, and Linden Elementary, Linden Middle School, and Linden High School, relocating our Early Childhood Center from its current location in Argentine to Hyatt Elementary, building a new Multipurpose Center between Linden Middle School and Linden High School, developing areas for student collaboration, and adding space for robotics instruction and Science, Technology, Engineer, and Math (STEM) programming.
Additional information can be found by visiting our Linden Community Schools Bond 2020 webpage.
