Student Ambassadors Needed!!!
Student Ambassadors are a small group of students dedicated to the positive promotion of Princeton Middle High School. They are the faces of Princeton Middle High School and work on a volunteer basis to serve as liaisons between the Princeton community and prospective students. Ambassadors are selected from current 6th -11th grade classes to assist in the
transition for future students and to represent Princeton at various functions in the school and community. As the faces of Princeton, Ambassadors agree to fulfill the school mission and our motto of building a community of excellence, one student at a time and demonstrate responsibility by adhering to all of the standards of conduct presented in the Student
Handbook. Failure to do so will jeopardize the student’s continued participation in the program.
If you are interested in being a Princeton Middle High School Student Ambassador for the 2020-2021 school year, please email Mrs. Pate requesting an electronic application by Friday May 15th 2020. Mrs. Pate's email address is meganpate@johnston.k12.nc.us

Youth LEAD NC, which is a nonprofit organization led by young people with disabilities, is pleased to announce that the application for Zooming with the North Carolina Youth Leadership Forum is out! The North Carolina Youth Leadership Forum has been an event where young people with disabilities could come together to gain leadership skills while experiencing independence firsthand. This year, Youth LEAD NC will be taking this program online in the form of Zooming with the NCYLF to ensure the safety of our participants and staff. Zooming with the NCYLF will be an eight week summer web series that will deliver the same educational, fun, and empowering experience as an in-person YLF. This event is for youth and young adults, ages 15-30, with disabilities living in North Carolina. NCYLF alumni are welcome to apply!
The web series will cover topics that are discussed at an in-person YLF, such as disability history, leadership, and advocacy. Bi-weekly small group hang-outs and other fun virtual activities will allow participants to get to know others with similar interests at a time when it is important to have a sense of community.
Applications can be submitted to ylfnc@live.com and are due by Sunday, May 17, 2020. Please pass the word along to the young people who you know as well as your personal and professional networks! A copy of the application along with more information is attached to this email.
Tentative weeks for the web series are from June 21-August 9. Dates will be finalized after participants are selected. If you have any questions, please email ylfnc@live.com.
Zooming with the NCYLF is a free and an accessible event to participants. We will work with our partners to find solutions to ensure participants have internet access!
