Without force you can't have motion
Have you ever heard of Newton's laws? Have you ever made a simple machine? In this you will learn all about Newton's laws, and simple machines. For example, when you go to a playground, and you use a see-saw, you are using a lever, a simple machine. When you are on a see-saw, and all of a sudden, someone comes up and pushes you off, that's an example of Newton's first law.
Sir Isaac Newton
Sir Isaac Newton was a smart man, he did really well a in school, he did so well, he came up with three simple laws of Force and Motion. His laws are called Newton's Laws, and they are important.
Newton's Second Law
Newton's second law states that, if you multiply mass x acceleration, you will get the amount of force that was being used. Like if you take a cardboard, and take a toy car, and set the cardboard on a object that would make the box diagnol, then you will measure how long the cardboard is, and see how long it takes for it to reach the end of the cardboard, then you have found your force.
Simple machines are basic tools used to make work easier, but surprisingly, the same amount of work is being done. For example, the bike above, is called a compound machine, it is an example of more than one simple machine, let's go learn more machines.
A wedge is a object that is thick at one end, and thin at the other. It can be used to stop doors, and hold trucks.
A lever is a straight bar that pivots on a fulcrum. For example let's pretend like the picture of the lever up above, is a see-saw, and the resistance arm is a adult, and the effort arm is the kid. When the kid gets on, he's heavier than nothing, but when the adult sit down the kid flies up, that's because they have different forces pushing down on them.
A compound machines is a machine that uses more than two simple machines. For example this scissor. It's got a lot of simple machines working together to create one machine. They can make work easier by a lot of things, but for scissors they are used for cutting things that are needed to be cut.
