A Device for Every Student

CVUSD is proud to have initiated a 1:1 electronic device program whereby every student has a classroom laptop set aside just for their individual use. At Wildwood, these devices are stored, charged, and used daily in each child's classroom.

We want every student to have access to their own device at home as well. We are fortunate to have enough additional laptops at our site to meet every device loan request that has been submitted this school year. If your student does not have a device to use at home or needs to share a device with a sibling, please submit a loan request HERE on the district website, and we will ensure that EVERY Wildwood student has equal access to technology both at home and at school.

Celebrating Wildwood!

We invite all Tiger families to join two of our efforts to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our school.

  1. Please encourage any Wildwood alumni to submit a 30-second to 2-minute video to klynch@conejousd.org explaining how Wildwood was special to them and where it led them to today. We are hoping to showcase one video each week in our Wildwood Weekly as a part of our celebration.
  2. Please consider joining our 50th Anniversary team to plan a 50s Sock Hop to be held during lunchtime on Friday, November 4 - our 50th day of school in our 50th year of operation. We already have a BBQ (hamburgers & cheeseburgers) lunch with ice cream secured for this special day. We are looking for volunteers to help us decorate our MPR and bring the fun with music and dancing. Please contact Kristina Martinez kpadilla22@yahoo.com to join the planning committee.

Wildwood's GATE Program

Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) provides qualitatively differentiated learning experiences for students with unique abilities, interests and talents with the expectation that students will be successful learners capable of performing at high levels of ability. Research has shown that specialized instructional strategies, along with opportunities for gifted students to interact with each other on a regular basis, yield higher academic performance, as well as improved social and emotional well-being.

To learn more about CVUSD's GATE program and offerings, click HERE. To learn more about Wildwood's process of GATE identification and school offerings, please join us on Zoom for an informational meeting from 5:00-5:30pm on Tuesday, October 11. You may use this ZOOM link to access the virtual meeting.

Health and Safety

It is important that all positive cases of COVID-19 are reported to the health office. If your student tests positive for COVID-19, we need to know in order to ensure we are supporting your student through their recovery. The health and safety of our student body and staff is a top priority. If you have any questions or concerns related to COVID-19, please reach out to our office.
