I am the High School Counselor. I work with 10-12 grades. Please reach out if you have any concerns.
We have implemented a peer to peer group called Rachel's Challenge, that will begin in October. We also have implemented TRAILS lessons once a month during Golden Eagle hour.
Rachel's Challenge
We are meeting once a month promoting positivity and kindness throughout the school, we will begin doing lunch activities during all lunches next week. This month we will be creating a "chain reaction" where students are able to write positive things they have seen throughout our school, or had happen to them. We will connect these chains to make one large chain, this will be a continued activity throughout the school year.
Coffee With The Counselor
Coffee With The Counselor will happen 4 times a year and we have different topics that will be discussed at each session. The first meeting is December 14, and the topic is Social Media and Cell Phone use.

Gratitude in November!
We will continue our character trait for the month of November as it is fitting-Gratitude! We will be looking at all the things that we are grateful for and acts of kindness and compassion we can do for others. I will be getting into the classrooms to do some activities/lessons around this idea as well as starting our career explorations in the upper grades.
Some important notes:
Conferences are coming soon-Wednesday, November 16th, 4-7 and Thursday, November 17th, 4-7. Teachers will be sending out information soon. The conferences will be scheduled and teachers will work with families if the above dates/times aren't possible. Please note-there will be FULL days of school on both conference days.
Also to note, St. Rita Church will not be providing Thanksgiving dinners this year as they have in the past. Families in need can contact their local church or call 211, which is an agency that provides various resources to families in need.
As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns -krista.schatzle@myeagles.org or 592-2181.

HELLO LITTLE EAGLES!!
Happy New Year Eagle Families!!
As we enter 2023 take a moment to reflect on 2022 and all the memories, successes, and progress you have made in the last year. It is important to remember big or small you grew in so many ways over the year and that is something to celebrate! See below for how to create a bucket list for positive goals this year.
Student Improvement Award
Twice a year we will be celebrating students who have made improvements up to that point of the year. Students may have made great academic strides, positive behavior progress, or both! This month we celebrated these nominated students with a hot breakfast and award ceremony where they heard why their teachers chose them. It was a wonderful time and all the students were so proud of themselves, as they should be! Great job Little Eagles!!
Each month at CES we have an assembly to celebrate our Character Trait of the Month trait. In December we watched a video about the big bad wolf on Sesame Street on how to be trustworthy.
