Taking the Mountain
Adrienne & Jeremy - Multiplying Disciples in SE Asia
Taking the Mountain
That's been a recurring theme for us since May. It seems like our Father was preparing us for the task ahead. As we settle into our roles in Thailand, it seems like every day the Holy Spirit is opening more and more doors, and reaching into the hearts of new people and places. And at the same time, we see the devil trying new tactics every day to try to take our team out. Where the church is growing and expanding and multiplying, that's where the opposition is fiercest!
And so in the midst of exhaustion, and sickness, and problems, and pride, we hear the voice of Christ calling us onward - "Come follow me". Not into an easy life; not into a perfect church planting movement; not into our vision for what this ministry should look like. We are called to come follow Him as HE takes the mountain. We are called to come into His presence and intercede for the lost, for our team, for the ministry, and for more people to encounter Jesus every day; and praise God that He is making a way in the wilderness! He is opening the doors! He is softening hearts! Praise God that He is worthy of our trust, because He knows the way.
So as we walk with Jesus towards the goal, here are some stories of His faithfulness!
Bang Chalong - praying for 50!
Just this last week, Kyaw Lin and Ma Hnin were able to connect with a group of about 30 Karen people that live just a few blocks away. This Karen group has heard parts of the gospel, and have taken steps toward Jesus, but have had no one to teach and disciple them. They heard about Kyaw Lin and Ma Hnin's ministry and quickly extended an invitation to partner together. They are hungry to know more about God's word and to be trained in evangelism! Ma Hnin couldn't believe it! Her prayer for 50 people was answered by June!
Pray for Kyaw Lin and Ma Hnin as they continue to seek the Lord in how to bring together these two diverse groups of people to serve the Lord. Pray as they discern next steps for their church family and seek to disciple a large new group of youth. May God continue to guide them as they serve faithfully.
Ko Pho is growing!
One of our new interns, Ko Phyo just moved into Ko Pho last week, to continue to serve in the church there and be able to do discipleship and teaching throughout the week. Pray for Ko Phyo as he builds relationship and steps into his new leadership role.

What's God up to in Myanmar?!
When one of the local villages saw the team's love for the children, they invited them to become teachers!! The team accepted, and now they are teaching 30 of the local children in school as well as at church! Without this, these kids wouldn't be able to receive any education at all. Praise God for this amazing open door - and please pray that Sayama Moe and her team of young church planters would be courageous as they share the love of Christ!

Church Planting - It isn't easy!
This is a HUGE test for the churches, and for our church planting team. For sustainability and multiplication to happen, there has to be generosity and sacrifice. Please pray that our leaders will be able to lead well, and have their eyes fixed on the Holy Spirit. Pray that we would all serve with humility, and with a lot of grace for each other. It's tough to navigate such a big system change, but for the churches to be healthy and sustainable, it's got to happen.
Please pray with us as we take this mountain as a team!
Family News
(week 28!!!) and are quickly realizing that in less than 3 months we're going to have a BABY! That's crazy! We're majorly blessed. Pray that Adrienne would have energy, and that the baby would grow big and strong :) . We're also excited to have Adrienne's parents come visit us over the next couple of weeks! It's going to be a super special time.
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who is praying for us - you know who you are, and WE know how much of an impact it makes in our ministry and in our lives. Thanks for standing with us and supporting us in our mission! God bless!
