RICHLAND REFLECTIONS

Week of 3/27/23 at Richland Elementary School

Dear Richland Families,

I hope you are enjoying some spring-like weather! This week's newsletter has highlights from second grade's concert and our March leadership assembly. Congratulations to our leaders of the month and First in Math champions of the month!

Good luck to Richland's Math 24 team of fifth graders who will represent our school at the district competition on Tuesday night, and happy reading to our two Reading Olympics teams of fourth and fifth graders who will compete in the county-wide event on Thursday night!

Our Spirit Wear Store is now open with new spring items! Check out the link below. And save the date for Richland's Knowledge Fair and Leadership Night Open House on April 27. Keep reading for ways to earn raffle tickets now.

We hope to see you at our PTO meeting on Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 where we'll discuss Color Run preparations for the April event.

Enjoy this last week of March!

ALICE INTRUDER DRILL THIS THURSDAY

Richland will have an ALICE Intruder Drill on Thursday morning. Our first drill was in November. Students, families, and staff will always know when an intruder drill is scheduled so staff can prepare students and you can support your child. As always, our main goal is for students to feel safe and turn to an adult in the room for directions. The drill ends in a matter of minutes.

You will receive a School Messenger message in advance of the drill.

You can find more information about this drill on our school website.

PROJECT FLYER COMING HOME THIS WEEK!

We are combining student projects (known in the past as Project Proud) with family leadership activities for one wonderful night! Students will have the opportunity to submit projects for our Knowledge Fair Leadership Night. Look for a flyer coming home this week, followed by an invitation for families to attend this open house on 4/27 from 4:30-6:30.

EARN A RAFFLE TICKET ON LEADERSHIP NIGHT!

In April, every student will be bringing home a Leader in Me 7 Habits BINGO board. It has activities for families to do at home that are related to the 7 habits.

If you complete 5 activities in a row, bring this Bingo sheet to our Leadership Night on April 27, 2023. You will receive a raffle ticket at the event. Feel free to complete all the activities. If you do, you will receive 3 raffle tickets!

Have fun practicing the habits with your families!
