HAPPY CUSTODIAN APPRECIATION DAY!
SCHOLAR MOVIE STARS NEEDED!
Filming will be October 8, 2020. We will excuse your scholar from their Period 4 class if need be. They will need to be at RMMS, wearing RMMS gear if they have it (a PE shirt, etc) and their mask on at noon on October 8, 2020. The entire event will be done by 1:30 pm.
WE NEED YOU!
We are looking for parents to serve on the School Site Council (SSC). A School Site Council (SSC) is group of teachers, parents, administrators, and interested community members who work together to develop and monitor a school's improvement plan. It is a legally required decision-making body for any school receiving federal funds.
We are looking for parents to serve on the English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC/DELAC) at the site and district level. The ELAC shall be responsible for the following tasks:
- Advising the principal and staff in the development of a site plan for English learners and submitting the plan to the School Site Council for consideration of inclusion in the School Plan for Student Achievement.
- Assisting in the development of the schoolwide needs assessment.
- Ways to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance.
- Each ELAC shall have the opportunity to elect at least one member to the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC).
School Re-Opening Plan
For those scholars who will return to in person learning: PLEASE begin talking to your child about safety protocols. Every scholar and staff member will be REQUIRED to wear their mask all day long. This is not negotiable. In addition, scholars will be asked to maintain physical distancing in the common areas, like lunch, blacktop, and restrooms. We know this isn't how we want it to be, however, we have to do this for now. Again, this is not negotiable. Thank you in advance for getting your scholar ready! We can't wait to see them!
Be sure to check out the VUSD Vista Institute for Parents for assistance with Canvas.

If your scholar gets kicked out of their Zoom meeting, please have your scholar email their teacher to let them know AND then complete the assignment that is in their Canvas classroom. In addition, your scholar can make an appointment to meet with their teacher during the Learning Options time after 12:30 pm, Tuesday - Friday. That's a great way to stay caught up!
