Winter Light Spectacular - November 9-December 30
Lehigh Valley Zoo and presenting sponsor Christmas Décor are filled with excitement for the most magical time of the year as they kick off the fifth season of Winter Light Spectacular on Friday, November 9, 2018!
The Lehigh Valley Zoo’s location, layout, and its dedication to a quality customer experience paired with Christmas Décor, the leading residential and commercial decorator in the Lehigh Valley, have partnered together to create one of the region's premier holiday destinations.
Bundle up and enjoy the beauty of nature as you stroll through tree-lined paths lit up by over 1.1 million twinkling lights and themed animated displays. Warm up next to the cozy outdoor fire pits while enjoying hot cocoa and s’mores. Don’t forget the camera to capture the children’s delight when they encounter Santa, The Grinch, Woody, Buzz, Elsa, Princess Belle, Olaf, Minions, and friends!
Last season, the popular nighttime fundraiser for the Zoo attracted over 63,400 guests from nine different states across 38 event nights. This season’s Winter Light Spectacular will feature 37 scheduled event nights, running 5:30 - 10 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday from November 9, 2018, to December 30, 2018. The event will be on break for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Winter Light Spectacular is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Lehigh Valley Zoo, the leader in animal conservation in Lehigh Valley. Revenue from these fundraisers go towards animal conservation projects at the Zoo to benefit all of the beautiful animals and conservation programs right here in Lehigh Valley.

Drive through this spectacular holiday light show, celebrating it's 22nd season, in the comfort of your own car. Dazzling new animated displays are part of this glowing show. These larger-than-life light spectaculars join traditional favorites set to music, transforming more than a mile of one of Allentown’s most beautiful parks, Lehigh Parkway, into a winter wonderland.
Featuring hundreds of thousands of brilliant lights – this attraction will brighten your holiday season. Visitors will experience tunnels, favorite holiday scenes and more. “Lights” has become an annual tradition for many throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Lights in the Parkway is fun for all ages.
Lights in the Parkway can be viewed Wednesdays through Sundays from Friday, November 23 through Sunday, December 9 and nightly December 12 - 28 from 5:30 - 10 p.m. Lights in the Parkway is closed on Christmas Day.
Admission to Lights in the Parkway is per vehicle, rather than per person, making it one of the most affordable holiday attractions in the region. Purchase your tickets in advance to save.
