Sunrise Family Updates
1.27.23
Hi Sunrise Families!
I hope this update finds you well! As of the writing of this newsletter, the 4th and 5th graders have traveled to Crossroads (photos below) and the third graders cannot wait to go this afternoon (with two of the three activities moving mostly indoors due to weather).
As the students have been learning about winter survival, and enjoying s'mores around the campfire, the teachers and academic coaches have been meeting to review all of the student's assessment data to make sure everyone is getting what they need.
We are excited to see the growth in both reading and math. Thank you for all of your support. Early bedtimes, limiting screen time, and doing homework with your child make a big difference in their learning! We will send individual STAR growth reports home with your child next Friday, February 3rd so you can see for yourselves.
Finally, I included the link to the breakfast and lunch menu at the bottom of this newsletter, but we will also begin sending a paper copy home for your reference starting in February. We will offer some additional amazing breakfast options; please encourage your child to eat breakfast at school before morning recess (if they do not already eat at home). Breakfast is free to all students this year! And students learn much better on a full tummy!
Thank you for taking a moment to read the rest of our updates! Have a great weekend!
