SE October News
Safety guidelines at SE
We have been thrilled with our students' responses to safety measures at SE. Our staff and students have been diligent in wearing face coverings and social distancing throughout the building. Our custodial staff has been doing a tremendous job sanitizing contact surfaces and keeping our school clean. We miss having all of our kids in school, but are happy that we are able to provide such a safe learning environment for them.

Challenges in Online Learning
One challenge we have been experiencing is getting all of our students to log in on their "online learning" days. In order for us to help your child continue their growth, we are relying on families to make sure the online work is being completed. We understand that this is not an easy task for many families, but we truly appreciate your assistance in making this happen. Please check frequently for updates from the school or teachers on Class Dojo. If you need any help, please contact your child's teacher, or come to our technology help night on 10/13 from 3:45-5:30 at SE. Thank you for being our partner in educating your child!
PBIS
PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) is a system of rewards to encourage proper behavior and build a sense of community within the school. Although we have used rewards systems in the past, this year, we are implementing PBIS to help our student reach greater success in school. On Thursday and Friday, we will have our first 1:1:1 reward celebration. This will be a special activity for all students who have had no more than 1 missed assignment, 1 absence, and 1 behavior referral for the Month of September. We will also be holding raffles at the end of the month for students who earned star tickets for demonstrating good behavior in school.
