Message from the Principal
Dear Kimball Hill Parents and Families:
What an exciting first week of school! It was amazing to welcome our students back and see all of the smiling faces! I am so proud of the resilience and flexibility our students have shown during such a unique time. Thank you to all our parents for your patience and grace as our teachers get familiar with live teaching. Please reach out directly to your child’s teacher if you have any questions. We value your feedback and our partnership with parents.
Our virtual parent orientation is this week Wednesday, August 26th (times listed below). We hope all parents will be able to attend! In an effort to accommodate parents that have children at the junior high, our original date was moved from Thursday to Wednesay so that parents can attend both orientations. This is a great opportunity to meet your child(ren) teacher face to face and learn about the curriculum; as well as hear class updates.
Thank you again for your continued support! We are so grateful for our Kimball Hill parents. Your children are amazing because of what you do and show them at home each and every day! We know this is not easy and we have been so impressed by your flexibility and patience during these unprescented times.
As always, please reach out to me any time with questions or concerns at lacamerm@ccsd15.net or call the school at 847-963-5200.
Warmly,
Michelle LaCamera

Stay Connected with our KH PTA
Our Kimball Hill PTA will be looking for parents to help in a different way this year! We are always looking for volunteers! Our PTA is working on a schedule for virtual meetings at this time. At each PTA meeting, you hear updates about the school programs, upcoming PTA events, and the various ways you can get involved in the Kimball Hill community.
If you ordered a yearbook this past school year and have not picked it up yet, please stop by the school Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm. Please call when you are in front of the school and a staff member will bring it to your car.
Bus Information
Meal Delivery
We know that many of our students are dependent on school meals for nourishment, and in the interest of ensuring this need continues to be met while District 15 schools are closed due to COVID19, we have established a schedule for food distribution.
District 15 will deliver food every day, Monday-Friday, August 17 - September 4, 2020.
- Lunch and breakfast for the following day will be offered daily.
- Starting August 19, meals are only available to D15 students, and will be charged to their meal account according to their meal benefit status.
Instructions for picking up food are as follows:
- In every location look for the District 15 bus for food delivery (*except where noted).
- Meals will be charged to each student’s account upon pick-up.
- Lunches will be charged at $2.60 ($0.40 for those qualifying for reduced price meals).
- Breakfasts will be charged at $1.30 ($0.30 for those qualifying for reduced priced meals).
- Students who qualify for free meal benefits will not be charged.
- Students at Jane Addams, Virginia Lake, Lake Louise, Winston Campus Junior High and John Conyers Learning Academy will all receive free meals due to the schools’ CEP status.
- Nutrition Services staff will scan student barcodes on-site upon pick-up to take payment from MealTime accounts.
- Students do not need to be present in order to receive meals. Parents may pick up meals for D15 students but should have the student barcode card with them.
- Nutrition services staff will be able to look up students who do not have a barcode card.
- If you need a replacement barcode card for your student, please call (847) 963-3930 or ask for the sign up sheet on any of the meal distribution buses. Cards can also be picked up at your school office.
- Menus will be updated weekly and posted online along with any cooking instructions (if needed).
For questions on the menu, please call 847-963-3928. For questions on transportation, please call 847-963-3909 or 3912.
